Here we go!

In 8 hours, this year’s Haiti Team will be heading off to serve Grace International in Port-Au-Prince!

Haiti Team 2014!

Stay tuned for our daily updates! Thank you for your prayers and support, and we look forward to sharing our journey with you all back at home!

What a wonderful trip!

It’s been a week since our last Haiti trip, and the team’s hearts are still left in Carrafour with Grace International.

For a complete gallery to our photos, click on the photo below!

The trip was a huge success, and many lives in Haiti were blessed by the people in the States who donated both items and funds generously!

See the video below to see exactly how your donations made a difference in their lives.

Thank you again for all who supported our team and the children in Haiti!

I still haven’t seen the Dark Knight Rises.

Scandalous, right? I know it’s been out for a few weeks at this point, but with project deadlines and other things popping up here and there, it fell to the backburner, and I kind of…forgot about it.

And it didn’t help that all of my co-workers had all already seen it and were looking to discuss the things that happened in the movie.

I…still don’t know if he was joking about it or not.

But tonight’s the night! I’m off to go and see it, and I will finally find out for sure whether or not my co-worker was messing with me or not.

Either way, he’s dead to me.

(I kid, I kid. Thanks for reading, Alan~ We can talk about the movie on Monday.)

I’m back and feeling great!

I just took my very first ARE Exam, the Building Design and Construction Systems exam, and after the weeks of hitting the books, it’s a relief to know that I have one down, and only 6 more to go~

As promised from the last post, I’m pleased to reveal to you, the missing Avenger. I give you, ARCHIGIRL!

Whenever I watch superhero movies, I die a little bit on the inside.

All of those amazing buildings getting smashed to pieces…but then again, architects in the US of A could really use some more work…

…anyway, I think that it would be a wonderful idea to have a super Architect. Rebuilding the world, one destroyed building at a time!

Avengers, ASSEMBLE!

Phew!

Last week was busy busy busy, with work work work.

When Friday afternoon finally hit, I looked at my desk and saw that I had at least 5 identical cups of coffee sitting all about.

And for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out which one was the one I had bought that morning. So I took a gamble and grabbed the one closest to me and took a healthy swig.

Mistake.

The good news is, it totally woke me up. Nothing like 3-day-old cold coffee hitting your gullet in the middle of Friday afternoon. That chill up your spine can keep you going for another good 6 hours alone. Red Bull, eat your heart out.

I watched the Avengers Movie on opening weekend, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the movie.

But it got me thinking…

The Avengers could really use one more member on their team…and I knew just who would do the job.

TO BE CONTINUED…

Can you believe it?

It’s already been two weeks since that amazing trip to Haiti. I miss Haiti already!

I’ve put together a short little video to let you all see and know the kind of impact your donations and support have made in the lives of the children in Haiti.

I love your faces, my lovely readers. You can always donate to www.newmercyproject.org and 100% of your donations will make its way into the Lord’s Kitchen and keep it running.

Happy Belated Halloween, lovely readers!

Aside from handing out candy to the way-too-old-to-be-trick-o-treating kids in the neighborhood, my holiday has been pretty quiet on the entertainment front~

Fortunately, I got to at least have a bit of fun at work, dressing up for the in-office costume competition.

Remember my fish, Wade? He got to help me out~

Between my friend Chris (the too-cool-for-school Dinosaur) and myself, we shared the “Best Costume” award. It was good times~

On a more serious note, I have had the privilege to work with a group of talented people over the past week and a half in order to submit a video entry for the What’s Your Story Video Challenge, which is being held by the White House Initiative for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.

Please check out the video and share it with people you know. And if you can spare a few dollars, please visit our website:

All your donations are tax-deductable, and at the end of every month, we will send 100% of the donations straight to Grace International’s feeding program. When I go to visit Haiti again, I will be sure to document what your donations and efforts are doing on behalf of these kids!

Between the earthquake and Hurricane Irene, I’ve been spending a lot of time indoors.

The fun events I was planning on partaking in this weekend were unfortunately cancelled, but I’m glad that everyone was playing things safe and staying indoors and out of harm’s way.

As I was sitting in front of the computer, I tried to think of things to write up for my comic.

I thought of covering the earthquake, but I think everyone has heard enough stories about the over-hyped event.

I was then going to write about Hurricane Irene, but (thank God), nothing too dramatic has occurred in my area.

I had no more ideas. The winds and rain were bad enough to prevent me from leaving to gain inspiration, so I thunked my head on the window and tried to think a comic into existence.

It’s a really good thing that I have a quirky sister who noticed my frustration and knew just what to do to make me laugh.

Lol, slightly inappropriate, but it was so random that it made me laugh.

Peter has already left for his last year of college, and Faith is about to go in for her very first. She is all growed up now~

I pray that everyone on the east coast is safe and sound during this hurricane.

I’ll just pass my time watching old Disney movies and Singing in the Rain~

It was time for me to get a grown-up person’s computer.

With this blog and the projects I have in store for the future, I knew that it was time to upgrade. Introducing, the iMac!!!

As much as I love mini things…this is in no way miniature…but I still love it so~

I finally showed Mini-Grace my new setup, and she had the same reaction I did when I first laid eyes on this behemoth of a computer.

Those were her actual words when she saw caught me caressing the iMac’s 27″ screen yesterday…when I thought that no one was around.

Thanks to Momma Whang for her cameo~ I’ve heard from many of you how much you enjoy the ‘rents being in my comics, so I’ll try to bring them in more often.

I will post the final video (now that the compy is all set up) this week. Good night!

Are you sick of seeing my face, yet?

Here’s another video! Enjoy!

Only one more to go, and the comics come back. Hang in there!
